How the application process works

  1. Go to the Enbridge (HER+ program) web page to get started.
    (Select a service organization)
  2. Pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation.
    (Prioritize your renovations)
  3. Interest-free loan (optional)
  4. Retrofit your home.
    (Consult your Renovation Upgrade Report)
  5. Post-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation.
    (Your energy advisor will send you the documents by email or mail)
  6. Receive your Canada Greener Homes Grant and HER+ program rebate.
    (Enjoy the benefits and savings of a greener home)

Home Energy Assessments

  • Planned to run until 2027
  • Can only receive $600 once per premise throughout the life of the program
  • The first step to determine which upgrades are right for your home

Smart Thermostats

  • Planned to run until 2027
  • Must be going from manual to programmable or smart
  • Enbridge Gas customers are eligible for an additional $75 off the purchase of a smart thermostat
  • Home is heated with a natural gas furnace or boiler
  • Live in a detached or semi-detached home or row townhouse. Stacked townhouses do not qualify
