Industrial Lighting Retrofit

Project Description

This project involved upgrading the facility's existing lighting to high-efficiency LED fixtures across key areas, operating on the building's 347V lighting distribution. The new design improves brightness, reduces energy consumption, and ensures compliance with local illumination and safety standards. New emergency lighting was also installed to provide backup illumination during power interruptions — securing safe evacuation routes and meeting building code requirements.

Scope of Work

  • Lighting replacement — removed aging fluorescent fixtures and installed new LED luminaires on 347V lighting circuits
  • Emergency lighting — installed battery-backed exit signs and emergency lights in accordance with fire code
  • Controls & sensors — integrated motion sensors, daylight controls, and dimming systems
  • Wiring & distribution — new branch circuits, junction boxes, and conduit routing where required
  • Testing & verification — lighting level checks, circuit continuity, and emergency power operation tests
  • Documentation — updated drawings, circuit directories, and inspection reports

Benefits to Client

  • Improved visibility and lower power consumption through the LED retrofit
  • Reliable egress illumination during outages with new emergency lighting
  • A fully inspected, compliant system meeting ESA and fire code standards
  • Automated controls — lights run only when and where needed, cutting waste further
